NW Typists provide an affordable, experienced and personable transcription service, based in Manchester. We'll take your audio and send back a transcript, just like that. We take on jobs big and small, so get in touch to discuss your requirements.
We operate as an collective, with Simon and Andi as the main transcriptionists, but if we need more capacity we work with other local transcribers.

Send us your files
We can do this via Dropbox or email, or we can give you a web link to upload them, or if you're based near Manchester we can pick them up. We have the ability to work with most audio file formats but if you have an unusual one we'll have to make sure we can.
We'll give you a quote
This depends on how fast you need the transcripts back, the quality of the audio you've given us, and how much work we have on.
If you're happy, we'll commence work
We'll email you the transcripts as Word documents, deleting the original recordings when we're done.
We choose to not include prices on our website as this may lead to either over-charging clients or under-paying typists. Each project is unique and there are many variables which affect how much labour goes in to producing a quality transcript.
We want to balance giving good value to our clients with paying our typists a fair rate, so we only give quotes on a project basis.
